Local songwriter showcase "Loud as Folk" celebrates its fifth anniversary with a five day music festival, benefiting a local non-profit, beginning Wednesday, April 6th, 2016.
Loud as Folk is a monthly event that highlights northern Nevada's music scene while also bringing in headliners from across the region. For the fifth anniversary of the event, a five day songwriter festival is being held at Pignic Pub and Patio. Each day hometown musician will share the stage with headliners from across the region. Different food trucks will also be on scene every night.
"Loud as Folk" is always a free event, with a $5 suggested donation. Each month, the donation benefits a different charity or local organization. Donations made this month will benefit Reno Art Works, an organization that provides a workplace for artists of all mediums.
All shows will are hosted by "Loud As Folk" founder Spike McGuire.
