When the world shut down in 2020, Spike McGuire and Greg Gilmore refused to let Loud As Folk lose momentum and found a way to continue the monthly celebration of songwriters.
From October 2020-September 2022 artists were invited to LAF studios to record an exclusive, single take, acoustic session that McGuire and Gilmore would engineer, mix, and master to tape themselves.
Each of the 24 monthly releases were sent directly to Record Club members on mono lathe cut vinyl, cassette, or CD and only available to the general public for 30 days.
Vol. 1 Was a compilation with artists from 4 states and 3 countries and is available to stream. Video singles released to accompany each session can be viewed below.
